What does the Corked-Price Guarantee actually cover?+
Four things. The price is named and sealed on the call, with the $89 service call and any evening or overnight add already inside it. You get the technician's name and arrival window by text. Locks are opened without damage first, and drilling happens only with your yes and at the quoted price. You pay by card on site and the itemized receipt is emailed within the hour. If you ask for more work at the door, like a rekey after a lockout, it is approved as a separate line before it starts.
Will my lock be drilled?+
Almost never. Residential deadbolts, knob locks, storefront cylinders and most safes open with picks, decoders or bypass tools, and the hardware keeps working afterward. Drilling is reserved for high-security cylinders or locks already broken inside, and even then the technician explains the option and the replacement cost before touching it. Nothing is drilled without your yes.
Is there a surcharge for evenings, nights or weekends?+
Weekend and holiday daytime jobs cost the same as a weekday. Arrivals between 8pm and midnight add $30, and arrivals between midnight and 7am add $60. Both are folded into the total on the call, so a $99 daytime house lockout is $129 in the evening and $159 overnight, and that is the last time the number changes.
Can you rekey a vacation rental or guest cottage between guests?+
Yes, and for a place that turns over every weekend a keypad lock with rotating codes usually pays for itself in a season. A rekey is $19 to $34 per cylinder and takes about ten minutes per door. A smart lock install runs $150 to $395, with a code for the cleaner and a code per guest set before the technician leaves. Either way you get an itemized receipt your host platform will accept.
Our house was rebuilt after the 2017 fire. Do the builder's locks need anything?+
Usually one thing: a rekey. New construction in Coffey Park and Fountaingrove often went through framing, drywall and finish crews on a construction key, and some of those locks were never reset to a homeowner key. Rekeying every exterior cylinder to one new key is $19 to $34 per cylinder and takes about an hour for a typical house. If the builder installed a smart lock, the old admin codes get cleared on the same visit.
